Good and Bad News...

Hey guys!

Lots of stuff has been going on lately! :) I try to update more often, but it never seems to work for me.

The first assignment for BGS is O V E R! It was so awesome, though, and a big congratulations to Mark, the winner for the week.

He did a fabulous job of showcasing Clemence's good and bad side.

Team Teal took the team prize for the week, so they will get a sneak preview of the next assignment as soon as I close it for the week. So excited to see what they do with the new one! I won't bore you all with the details of the comp, just in case you aren't interested, but you can check it all out on the Wix.

In other modeling news...GJWHF Cycle 3 is set to open for signups on September 10th! :) I posted a thread in S&M on the officials, accepting applications for a co-host...and I picked one!

We will be welcoming PistolKitten on board with us for the next cycle! :) I am so excited. I think she has a real feel for the competition, since she is the winner of the last cycle. I also think that she is a great judge, and obviously her pictures are amazing. We have already been brainstorming ideas to make this next cycle the most fun that it can possibly be! :)

Also with us for this cycle will be MzDiamond. It was hard to turn her down as a cohost, but thankfully, she agreed to help us out with judging.

Because GJWHF is a comp that my friends like to compete in, I will not be judging, but I will still be doing my Host's Choice, so you will be hearing from me! :)

In other sim news, Sim Social has really taken the sim world by storm, no? It's sort of fun, even if it is a little dinky, and I find myself wanting to level up constantly. It can be addictive, I will admit. I try to limit myself, though.

Now for the bad news...

I know that not all of you that read this read my legacy, and I know that not everyone that reads my legacy reads my sim blog, so I will be posting there, too.

Sadly, the Braxton's are dead. I cannot even remember the number of times that I have had to recreate that save, or start over, and I am just not feeling it anymore. At a certain point, I guess you just disconnect from that sim family, and you can't get it back. I tried my hardest, and it was really heartbreaking, but I had to make a decision.

With all of the things that I have had going on, maybe it was time for a fresh start, who knows?

With that in mind, I have a little bit of happy news...I started a new one! :)

Jordy is turning out to be a sweetheart, and while I had my misgivings at first, about learning to play a new sim...she really won me over with her uniqueness.

I mean, could YOU say no to this face?

Her traits are Childish, Green Thumb, Hopeless Romantic, Absent-Minded, and Clumsy.

She is precious. <3

Anyways, I hope that you all choose to read her story when it debuts (hoping next week!) and that you will love her as much as I do! :)

Weekly Happenings of ME!

Hey, y'all!

It's been a long week, and lots of things have happened! First things first, I turned older on Monday! It was my 27th birthday, and it was one of my best ones ever.

My awesome friend, Phebes, started a beautiful thread for me over at Simpure, which contained a lovely picture that she made, and also an AMAZING video done by Bordelinski. I was shocked to TEARS! I just love these two so much. They are amazing friends, and wonderful people! *hugs them both*

In modeling news, I placed 8th in Strike-A-Pose this week. I think I am not understanding what sort of modeling competition this is. I always seem to miss it, even though I am proud of my pictures so far.

She is portraying her celebrity "idol." With the help of Phebes, I decided to use Kim Kardashian.

I am already brainstorming for the next assignment!

The List...

I have started compiling a little list of things that I need to get done, and that list is just staring at me. Taunting me.

I feel like I have a lot of things that I need to update on in here, but I am just going to graze over them!

A lot of you know me in passing by interactions through competitions, stories, and other places in the forums, but some of you know me very well, and you know there are things in my life that have been hindering me from functioning properly lately. I might as well blog about it:

My fiance and I have split up. After 5 rocky years, it was time for it to be over. I am now in the confusing process of putting my life back together, and getting everything straight. For the past couple of weeks, I have been in a daze, even though I knew that I was going to have to end this toxic relationship at some point. Because of this, I have had to drop some things that I love dearly, and some other things came to and end for other reasons.

I will say this - this is another reason why things that happened hit me so hard. I was already frail, and I felt like I was being kicked when I was down. But I will be ok, and I will rise above. I just want to put EVERYTHING in the past behind me, and move forward. The future is all I can focus on right now. So with that in mind...here are some various goings on from the sim-life of me!

In my modeling news:

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Cycle 2 has ended with PistolKitten being declared the winner! She was a fabulous competitor, and I was so excited to have her compete in this cycle! It was amazing to watch the other contestants grow as they became inspired by her mad skillz. After some thought, I have decided NOT to start Cycle 3 immediately, but to give it a break until SEPTEMBER. I know that there are a few of my regular competitors that have mentioned they will be on vacation during August, and I just think it will be easier to start this all back up after school has begun again, and everything is settled. (PK - I am still working on your sig - I will have it emailed to you sometime this week!)

All About Me is currently in the judging stage for the FINAL ASSIGNMENT! *phew* I am so glad that one is over! I really enjoyed it because I got to know the contestants so well through their assignments, and everyone did a fantastic job. I think the final results are going to be really close! :) I have no plans to do another cycle of this competition, but in the future, who knows? Maybe!

I am not one to make someone join another site, so if you are interested in joining the comp, but not simpure, you are able to email me your assignments, as they will be sent in privately, anyways. So far we have over 20 reserves and about 10 auditions turned in, so I think it's doing well! I am really excited. Phebes and B are on board with me on judging this one, and I think it's going to be something new and inventive for people to try and enjoy. I plan to make this a continuous cycle competition if all goes well!

In other comp news, I am entered in "Strike-A-Pose" hosted by commeuneplume and DrMusix on the officials. It's a really awesome comp so far, and I just have to get my second assignment done before the 2nd. I think I am gonna start doing my comp assignments on my mom's computer, as hers is a lot better graphics wise, than mine. I drool of her smooth simmies! *hehe*

In case you are interested, these are my photos from the first assignment. I didn't do so hot scores wise, as I figured I wouldn't, due to lack of clutter...but I love them! :) I had to use inspiration from the GAP, and it is definitely NOT my "style." I feel like I was able to represent it well, though. I was going for clean and simple, with a lot of preppy style thrown in!

(Talon - the model in the glasses, is my new boyfriend. :-P I feel in love with him in these glasses!)

Stacia is so adorable to me, I just LOVE her! :)

In order from left to right, you have Silver St. Claire (a model that was used in my Sensation story), Talon Lukas, Stacia Rouge, Garnett York (son of Venus and Brad, of "Venus Does Riverview") and a special someone that you will be meeting soon enough. ;)

I have decided that I will limit myself to joining one competition at a time, and judging one competition. I was chosen as a judge for a modeling comp that looks really fun! It's based around advertising, and the host is a really nice girl. It's called "Work It!" and you can find it here:

In story news, I am working on a Venus chapter, and this will be her final. It's sort of bittersweet, but the good thing is, we will always hear more from her...and I will have more time to work on my legacy! I think this next generation of The Braxton's is going to breathe some life into it! I just know you all are gonna love Blaze!

Another thing that will get done this week, is the Braxton download page (updated for Generation 3) and then I will upload a few of my models that are just sitting around waiting to be played with!

Right now...it's off to play with Venus and get her finished up right!

WOW!

So many things to do, I am overwhelmed! :) Of course, I guess you all saw my entry about the new site. I hope that you all have at least checked it out. It's definitely worth a look. Brad, Phil and I have spent a lot of time on it. We seem to be getting quite a little group of regulars together! As far as modeling goes, I have had to fight joining comps...although I tried to join Jillie's "Little Black Bra" and also a comp hosted by Hoxha on the officials. Unfortunately, my computer just isn't up to handling right now. I sort of feel like it's a sign that I shouldn't take up any more projects right now. I still have Sensation, although I am simply a writer now, and my two hosted comps. When AAM is over, I will be starting my new comp soon after. It's going to be fun! :)

Speaking of "Girls," it is running along beautifully, while "AAM" is struggling. Oh well, you win some, and you lose some...but I have overall enjoyed AAM because I feel I have gained friends during the course of it. It was more than worth it!

Something that I have been enjoying is playing around with creating patterns for the game! It isn't very difficult, in fact - it's really easy - but I have fun with it, just the same. I also like that I can share them with people, and I hope that you guys enjoy them as much as I do!

On the stories front:

The Braxton's will have a new chapter out - POSSIBLY tomorrow! I have everything put together now, it's  just the matter of finding the time to sit down and write it! This will be the final chapter of Ari & Fiona's generation, and we will officially start with Blaze in the following chapter! I think everyone is really going to like him, I have a lot planned!

Venus is in the works as well. As a lot of you know, I lost ALL of my saves in the Generations installation and had to completely remake everyone. Luckily, I keep .sim files of all of my important sims, so no big deal! Just tedious and time consuming. This will possibly be the final, or at least next to last chapter for Venus' story. I am sad to see her come to an end, but I can guarantee that you have not seen the last of her.

Sugar N Spice - this one is definitely in the works. I have taken a lot more time working on it than I planned on, but I have my idea - I just need to get the photos! I knew that these would not be regular, but I took on too many projects at once, and this got put on the back burner. It is coming, though!

06/11/11 - Various Crap.

Long time, no post! :)

I have been spending way too much time chatting over at Unbound lately. It has been hindering my simming abilities, but on the bright side, I have made a lot of new friends! :-) I can't really complain about that, can I?

I have also installed Generations, and been having a crapload of problems with it. I started out with Devani and Arden, but sadly, they had so many problems that I had to leave them alone, and start with someone new. So, now I am playing with Venus's daughter, Jewel! There have been a few minor problems, but nothing too big.

I started Cycle 2 of GJWHF, and it is going really well! There are a lot of great contestants! PistolKitten was just announced the winner of assignment 1. You can find out more info about that here:

All About Me is running as slow as molasses. I don't know what the problem with that is, but I am going to try to make an epic assignment that will revive it. :-)

I have just retired from competing for the time being, I just have too much on my plate right now. BUT...I went out with a bang! Me and Venus won Sensation's Next Top Model!

I was pretty excited about that. It's obvious that I try to do everything I can to not edit photos at all, but I ended up taking myself out of my comfort zone, and started editing photos more. After AAM is finished, and I wrap up Venus's story, I might compete again. It was hard for me to resist joining Bliss's comp, Pink, but I had to. I need to get more into my stories.

Speaking of stories, there will be a Braxton update coming this week! I have enough photos for one more chapter, before Generations flubbed my game up. Everything else us pretty much on pause until I can get everything settled with the new EP. Hopefully, it won't be TOO long, because I am ready to get Venus finished, the next Generation of the Braxton's started, and another fairytale written for Sugar and Spice!

I'm still here...so I'm guessing that everyone else is still here. No apocalypse today, huh?

Anyways, I'm still banned from the forums. I have been sort of busy, anyways, so chances are I would not have been around much. *flips EA the bird*

I'm crossing my fingers that it will be lifted tomorrow. I would like to post scores for "GJWTHF." It's not really all my fault, I am still waiting on one judge to send in scores. :-)

Meanwhile, I will be joining Beech's "My New BFF" competition, for Teen Sensation. Hopefully, I make it though to the actual comp. I made a sim especially for this. Teens can be funny things to create. I decided to start from scratch and make one, rather than just aging down another model.

I absolutely can not freakin' WAIT until Generations comes out. I really don't want to stuff more money in EA's pockets, but since I just paid to upgrade mine AND my mom's computers to be able to play the game, I feel like it will be ok. *rolls eyes*

I am pausing the Braxton's until after it's release, although there is an update coming this week:

Two new chapters in less than a month's span? Even Fiona is shocked! :-P

Lots of stuff is going on, and I have lots of cutesy pictures, so I  might as well go ahead and write some new chapters before Gens comes out, because I am abandoning ALL STORIES until I have my fill of the new EP, and then they will commence. :-P

I still haven't really decided who I want to play with. It's a toss-up between Bridgette and Amelie. I'm so confused!

This week, other than writing the next Braxton chapter, and trying to get something out of Venus, I will be absorbed in competition/magazine work. :-)

Oh, and the new cycle of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" will come out this week! :-D Get ready to join!

It was supposed to be black and white using shadows and lighting effects. I'm not too sure how I feel about it, but I do feel like it was the best that I could do. Oh well - you can't win 'em all, right?

It sure doesn't look like it - but it took me FOREVER to do.



I extended the due date for "All About Me." I certainly hope that this comp starts moving faster, but what could I do...the forums were down for over an entire day, and there were still 8 entries to be turned in. :-S I'm sure the judges wouldn't mind the load being taken off of them, but I'd still hate to lose that many before the first assignment is even done with! *lol*


Scores will be up for "GJWTHF" tomorrow, at least by tomorrow evening, I am hoping! The scores are starting to get REALLY tight, so every little bit counts as far as judges. I am waiting on at least one more set of scores before I post anything. I don't feel like it's an accurate depiction with just two sets of scores, I don't know why. 3 or 4 seems like a much better number for judges.


I have decided that I am not playing with my Braxton family anymore until Generations comes out! :-D I want them to have an amazing wedding, and they should rightfully be the first Braxton's to have a great one (or...one at all. :-P) Still, there should be a new chapter, soon!

Venus is next on the list, and then I shall be working on another fairytale for Sugar and Spice! It's a secret, though!

Hint - I'll need lots of RED clothes. ;-)

05/16/11 - EA SUCKS!

NEWSFLASH - THE FORUMS ARE DOWN!

(just in case you didn't know...:-P)

Luckily, I have had a lot to keep myself busy today. I had family over for awhile this evening, and I actually had a chance to work on putting my sims blog together.

I uploaded 4 today. I plan to slowly upload all of my sims and townie edits.

If you have a request of a sim I have already done, I will be glad to give it a higher place in my queue. :-D

Braxton sims (founders/heirs/spares) will NOT be posted in this part of the blog, they will all continue to be posted on the Braxton downloads page. I will also work on getting that up to date with Generation 2. Extra characters (if they belong to me) will be posted to my sims blog a little along.

On the flip side, about the forums being down - I was not able to score ANY entries for my modeling comps. This means that "GJWTHF" scores will not be posted until Tuesday, and that I will be giving an extra day to all of my "All About Me" contestants to get their entries in. I don't feel as if it would be fair to keep the date the same, considering that they couldn't even get into the forums to check the requirements or post their entries. I don't think anyone will argue with me! *lol*

Oh well, that's two entries in this blog in one day. That will make up for the one that will NOT be here tomorrow! ;-)

The 7th assignment for "GJWTHF" is over. :-( It's making me sad because it's going past so quickly, but this first cycle has been WAAAAY more successful than I could have ever imagined. There will be a cycle 2, of course. I already have everything planned out. I am hoping for this one to go well, I just hope it does!

"All About Me" is due tomorrow. There are still 12 people, I think, that have not turned in. I knew that the numbers were going to dwindle greatly, but I hope that we at least get a few of those in! I know that some of those people are like me, though, and just wait till the last minute!

To be honest, the contestants are really bringing it so far, with the entries that have been submitted. It could be that a lot of people just got scared! *lol*


Speaking of my personal entries, I have been working mostly on magazine stuff, but here are my two pics from the comps I am in:

I was really proud of this one. I have been working on my editing skills. More often than not,  I will choose an in game shot over an edited one. I'm trying to get myself out of that. It's becoming an easy way out for me. Plus, I just had a lot of fun with it! :-)

You might not be able to tell...but that's ME! :-D I'm lovin' my pink hair, zebra makeup, and heart shaped pupils. ;-)

I am still stuck in "Braxton" mode, so I am playing them any chance that I get. *lol*

I might as well go ahead and post him here, because I posted him in the General Discussion forum last  night.

This is Blaze. He may or may not be your next Braxton heir. ;-) (But, you might as well say he is. :-P) He's a toddler right now, so he's only interested in potty training and biting the heads off of his sister's dolls. :-P

I apologize for being too selfish and control freakish to allow y'all to vote on an heir. Trust me...you would have picked him, anyways. ;-)

Can you tell who he belongs to? I think it's obvious. But if you read the Braxton Legacy, you know I am all about some genetics! :-)

05/10/11 - Braxton-y Goodness!

Hello everyone!

I am dropping by today, to let you know that there has been an update in Braxton land.

Chapter 7 - Everything I Do, I Do it for You...

In this chapter, we see how Fiona and Arielle react to their new surroundings. There are tons of surprises for them though!

Also, in my little part of the sim world, I have ended Assignment 6 of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun."

The assignment was titled "Red Hot Ladies." The contestants were to depict a "Girl's Night Out" scenario.

Also, I posted the first assignment on "All About Me!" With 33 contestants, this should be fun! I can't wait to see what the contestants come up with.

I have a few modeling assignments to work on myself, and I signed up to judge "Queen of the Underworld" by simslover740. That one should definitely be fun.

I'm still a busy little bee playing with my Braxton family, so you can expect quite a few updates back to back!

I want to get the Braxton's settled, and maybe get another chapter or two out of Venus, and then I will be working on the next installment of "Sugar and Spice." I knew when I started working on that one, that it would not be updated very regularly, due to the amount of work that actually goes into it.

As a side note:

Only 20 more days until Generations is released! Who's excited?? :-D

05/08/11 - Happy Mother's Day!

Hello, lovelies!

I dropped by to say "Happy Mother's Day" to all of you mommys out there!

My own mother is AMAZING, and I hope she knows everyday how much I appreciate everything she has ever done for me, and that I love her with all of my heart! (I know she's reading this. ;-) )

Nothing much to report on this end, I have been working like a madwoman, juggling the HUMONGOUS comp "All About Me" and also trying to get everything set up for the next chapter of  "The Braxton Legacy."

There's so much going on in that one, I hope all of my readers enjoy it, and that it ends up being worth the wait. Hopefully, I will be quicker with the chapters now. I have been playing a lot lately, which is a change for me. The reinstall really helped! :-)

Hopefully the new chapter will be up tomorrow! :-)

Well, it's been a few days! I haven't really had time to do a lot of sim related stuff, other than damage control on what EA did to my competition!

The night before last, I was minding my own business, just setting up graphics for my new competition, All About Me, when I went to my other competition, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, to basically copy the general layout of it.

Imagine my surprise when I found out that my original GJWTHF thread was GONE!

The next day, I contacted EA chat support, and what I basically found out was that someone had reported me (unwarranted), and the mods just decided to delete first, and figure everything else out later. I was then able to squeeze out of the guy that it had been moved to a "higher level of support" and they would decide "what action to take." Which, I later found out, meant that I would either be banned, or my thread would be reinstated.

Well, it's back all right - but it's completely destroyed. Not that it matters much, because I had already started a new one. I wasn't ever worried, I knew there was nothing wrong with it.

I do think that was a really childish thing to do, though. It wasn't just me that was inconvenienced by the thread deletion, there was a lot of work in that thread, and now my models have had to wait 2 extra days so far for their scores, and that really isn't fair. It all happened because someone wanted to spite me. Oh well, losers never win. :-D

With competitions in mind, the link that I posted above leads to my simself comp. I will be accepting models until the 10th, and then we will be ready for the first assignment. If you are interested...please sign up. It's going to be so much fun! :-)

The only thing of any interested that I have done lately is my Exotica entry:

It's simple, but I'm proud of it! :-) I am adoring Devani as a model - she takes excellent pictures. It's weird to think that you have some sims that are more photogenic than others, but it's true! I should have her ready to upload in a few days or so.

Other than that, I have been playing with my Braxton legacy family. It's been pretty fun, having the girls "wake up in a new house."

05/02/11 - Not much to see here...

I forgot that Mondays always belong to my nephew! I spent most of my day playing Bingo, LIFE, and Cooking Mama. :-)

I spent my evening on my SNTM assignment.

The assignment title was "Couture Fashion."

Model is my Venus, of course. ;-)

05/01/11 - Braxton preview and the return of my favorite sim!

If I could offer any advice it would be...NEVER drink a frappe from McDonald's late at night.

The damn thing will keep you up ALL night!

I honestly thought that I was going to staple my eyelids shut before it was all over. Instead, I made a mistake. I decided to get out of bed, and try to play my game for a few minutes to see if it would make me sleep. (*lol*)

What happened instead was that I realized that my game was effed up beyond repair, and I was going to have to do a complete uninstall/reinstall. This is a very brave thing to decide to do at 5am.

Now, 15 hours, and 2 hours of sleep later, my game is finally playable!

I have decided to hold off on most of the CC (mods, pose player, and hair not included!) until I upgrade the memory on this laptop. Unless I need something specific for a competition. Speaking of - that was just another thing I didn't get to today.

So, here is the good news:

I found my most favorite TS3 sim ever that I thought was gone forever. Her backup file was nestled deep in my saves folder, and when I stuck it back in the new game...there she was! I now introduce you to Bridgette Braxton. (No relation to the Adrienne Braxtons :-P)

She was a victim of some bad CC that I downloaded, and since I had no clue what to do with bad CC, I deleted her. I was so upset...but now she's back! I plan on using her for my Generations game when it comes out. :-) She was my Late Night test sim, as you may be able to tell by her apparent vampy-ness. ;-)

I'll be adding her and Devani to my sims page once I get it up and running, but that wasn't in the cards today.

Hello, World! 04/30/11

I will be using this blog as my main one to let everyone know what I'm doing with my game, competitions, and, of course...my stories!

Which  means, you will be hearing from me a lot more often, because I do so much more than just write stories.

I make sims, and am also very active in the Modeling community.

From now on, if you check right here, this will let you know what I have been up to, and what I am working on. This means updates on families, sneak previews, etc.

I have people ask me about my sims from time to time, so I have made a blog for them as well. I will start posting some of my models that I have made, as well as some of the townie remakes that I have done. I will be posting their .sim files to mediafire, and adding a list of important CC that I use.

From time to time, if I find things that I think other simmers might like, I will point you in the right direction.

In short, this is a general dumping ground! *lol*

Also, I will update y'all when I write in my personal blog, as I see that I have a few lurkers even though I have not written in quite awhile. You never know what silliness I might be thinking!

As far as updates for today, we have "Venus Does Riverview" Chapter 8, in which we find out what exactly happened to Brad, and we get a few surprises! (More than a few, actually! ;-)

In addition to this, I have been busy working on my competition, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!. Lurkers are encouraged, and at the end of every assignment, there is a poll for you to vote on your favorite entry! There is definitely a lot of talent going on there. In case you are interested, I am also competing in Sensation's Next Top Model (with Venus!) and I just joined Exotica Cycle 5, with my new model, Devani. I seem to always have a weakness for joining BeechNutBaby's comps! She's such a good host.

Speaking of Exotica - Yesterday, I came in first place in Cycle 4, with Fiona Braxton from The Braxton Legacy! So, congrats, Fiona! *lol*

In between all of this, I spend time chatting with my friends down at Mikezumi's 100 Baby Challenge - "Mortimer Goth - The Inseminator", which is a really good story! (We also do a LOT of chatting! *lol*)
